Bento Fun #55
As we wanted to go and collect our passports, PiggyBeng told me not to cook that day so I brought Darrius to QBM. Since we are not having lunch with PiggyBeng, I can’t decide what to have for lunch when we are there so I thought I’ll just prepare a Bento for Darrius and packed in a few extra items in case he gets hungry after lunch time… knowing I will spend a few hours there.
I was determined to come out with something unusual for Darrius’s Bento last week when I have a few items on my hands.

Left: Wholemeal soft bartard filled with cheese and turkey ham, Mini Oreo for ears, cheese for eyes white with nori as eye balls and carrot as mouth with whole strawberries
Right: Blueberries mini cupcakes with mix of prunes, dried apricots and dried blueberries

This Keroppi Bento box which I got from this mommy came with 2 tiers and the bottom tier is quite deep so can fit those sandwiches.

Darrius was excited to see such Bento but he only keen to eat those Mini Oreo and cheese but not so much the sandwiches!! He cleaned up all the fruits as well as the mini cupcakes.
At the end, mommy has to clear the half bitten sandwiches….

Wow! I like this bento! The faces are very sun-shiny happy.
BTW, can the wholemeal be too hard for little kids to chew? I found that my kids not too fond of it, if I pack too much. I think the white Japanese bread loaf might be a great choice.
