Bento Fun #56
I think I have to go on blog diarrhea now or else I won’t be able to catch up on all the back dated posts! First, I was loaded with cupcake orders then this sexy mommy came with her troop and then we have a wedding weekend at a relative’s place. So much to blog about but so little time since both Darrius and myself were down with food poisoning the entire weekend!
Believe me or not, this Bento was done the previous week! Not that I don’t have time to go online but I was too caught up with FB at the moment! Found some of my ex-classmates and has been spending some time catching up with some of them. Then I have Darrius who kept ‘kacau-ing’ me (if I go to the kitchen, he will keep asking what I’m doing upteen times though I switched on his CDs for him) or if I’m in front of the PC he will try to punch the keyboard! *slap head*
I bought some chicken breast meat so decided to do some teriyaki chicken for him. Then came the idea of using the long picks so he can have some ’satay’ again.
.
Bento Box: Half star-shaped hard-boiled egg (which don’t turned out), teddybear pasta mixed with low fat mayonnaise and Furikake, 2 sticks of teriyaki chicken, mixed vegetables and chicken sausages and 2 cherry tomatoes
Dessert is a cup of homemade mixed berries yogurt sprinkled with some dried blueberries

I bought the homemade yogurt from Jusco some weeks back. They were among some of the promotional products on sale that week. It was really easy to make. All you have to do is add 200ml of cold milk and mix with the package and voila!
Though it is a tad too sweet but the taste is refreshing as compared to the normal yogurt we have here. What I like about this is the storage can be longer than those ready made ones from the supermarkets.
You can keep a few boxes in the pantry and make them as and when the need arises so it quite convenient.

the yoghurt in a box is a good items to have in the kitchen shelf.
very easy to make homemade yogurt nia… just add 1 cup of regular yogurt to a litre of warm milk (~37 C) and leave overnight…and voila whole tub of yogurt the next morning.
You can then add your own fruit puree, ribena, etc to taste.
