Bento Fun #62

I am trying to catch up with my Bento posts as much as I could but there are just not enough time in a day to do so much!

Can’t remember when I did this one but it was definitely before the new year! See, I am that slow… laggin behind all the other Bento Mamas out there.

The other reason is the setting up of this blog which certainly took a lot of my time since I am dealing with yet another new version of  WordPress. Looking for a suitable theme also takes a lot of time and not to mention the work  on the exporting and importing of the old posts to the new blog.

Anyhow, here is another quick fix that don’t require that much of time to prepare.

Welcome to Bento Fun!

A Big Welcome to Bento Fun!

In the past 6 months or so, Bento packing has grown to been the latest fad in town and I can see more and more mommies are jumping onto the Bento packing frenzy for their kids especially those who has school going kids. Bento provides an alternative to a healthier lunch box where kids get to have their daily nutrition intake even though they are away from home.

Majority of kids are attracted to cute looking food and hence encourage them to eat sensibly. The varieties inside each carefully packed Bento which has a 4-3-2-1 rule: 4 parts carbohydrate (usually rice or bread), 3 parts protein (meat or egg), 2 parts fruits and vegetable & 1 part of dessert (usually treats like sweets, jello or munchies) in our local context which provide a wholesome and balanced meal for a growing kid… where most canteen food don’t follow.

If you have picky eater(s) at home, cute Bento packing may helps your kid(s) to eat food they don’t normally eat.

I can foresee Bento packing will be a hit for a long time with the soft economic climate that is hitting us. More people will be packing lunch boxes from home rather than eating outside to save on unnecessary spending.

Well, that being said, I wish you a fun and joyful Bento journey ahead! :)

p/s: If you are already my Bento pal, do update your link and if you are a new Bento enthusiast, do link me up! :)
