Bento Fun #64

This is the last Bento from 2008! Geez, so ashamed that it took me almost a month to post it up!

It is another very simple combination with Darrius’s favorite pan-fried soy sauce chicken. This Bento box is much slimmer than the other two tiers boxes I have so the chicken drumstick fit in snuggly in the lower tier. However, if I wanted to ‘really’ pack it, then I’ll have to slice the meat out as it is junting out and I’m sure the upper tier won’t be able to close in.

Top: Pan-fried soy sauce chicken
Bottom: Rice sprinkled with furikake, some cherries and king mango cubes

.

Hopefully I can catch up on all my Bento post by this week as I did not do that much the past weeks since I was too bogged down with cupcake orders. :P

Anyway, thanks for popping by and Happy Bento-ing folks!

Hi there, I was introduced to your blog recently. You make lovely bentos. As my girl is in school now, I make her bentos too, for her snack, and yours are a real inspiration. Could you share with me where you got the picks which look like balloon strings, the heart and star-shaped ones for the quail eggs, as well as the leaf-shaped ones you use on the cherry tomatoes. They are very nice. Did you get them in Malaysia or online? Thanks.

Thanks for popping by and the compliment. :)
Some of the picks I bought from ebay and some from other online stores locally.
I think you can get all those in Singapore! When I was in Sg the last time I almost
went crazy coz there were just too many things to buy!

No, I have now seen those leaves and balloon types. I usually get my stuff from Daiso, I don’t know anywhere else to do for them.
