Bento Fun #79 of butterfly and bees…
I was so tired yesterday as I did a lot of housework until my whole body was aching but still I did not get a good night sleep. Has been tossing around but eventually fell asleep after PiggyBeng went off to work and I woke up quite late so don’t have much time to think of what to have for lunch.
When I have nothing to eat, noodles will automatically comes into mind…. hehehe I’m a noodle fancee so my house is stuffed with all kinds of noodles but all spicy ones. So, lunch was Mamee tomyam noodles and Darrius gets the same too!
Believe it or not, this monkey of mine is starting to take in spicy food! We have been trying to encourage him for a while and he has been learning to accept the different levels of spiciness and so far so good! He even took a whole bowl of asam laksa last weekend!

After I cooked the noodles, I let them sat in the soup awhile so the flavors will get in. Don’t let them sit too long though or all the noodles will get soggy.
I have some Bunashimeji mushrooms left so I added them into the pot while I cook the noodles. I added some broccoli too as I wanted Darrius to have more fiber. Just hope his constipatuin will ease up soon.
For the butterfly and bees, I use the lunch sheets which came in 3 colors, green, yellow and orange. For the bees’ wings, I used almond flakes. I added in a strawberry, cut it into 2 portions and there are someĀ triangle bits from the strawberry which I sprinkled all over acting as flowers.

Today is our wedding anniversary so I won’t be cooking any dinner… will just go out and enjoy…
That’s all folks! Hope you have fun bento-ing!
