Bento Fun #101
Despite being so tired these 2 days, still I got to wake up early to prepare Darrius’s stuff before I make him his milk. Practically every morning PiggyBeng has to wake me up before he leave for office and I have to drag my feet up! bleah~*
Glennedine is still fussing last night but she is better I think. The Paracetamol must have made her so drowsy that she just wanted to sleep… just that she is not in deep sleep. Anyway, I’m going to stop the Paracetamol today since her fever is not that serious.
Back to the bento.
I bought a loaf of this Gardenia Butterscotch yesterday as I like the taste very much. Therefore, I made a California roll using the bread.
Instead of using mayo, I substitute it with a slice of cheese to wrap some carrot and celery strips. Added some strawberries and cherry tomatoes since I hardly give Darrius any fruits these days due to his never ending cough.
Hopefully the little rascal will remember his bento since it is beehoon day at the kindy… as I know he won’t feel fun with that tiny serving they gave him.

I love the butterscotch bread too…yum yum. I love the colour of strawberry in the bento box – too bad Yiu Yiu doesn’t like them so I don’t get the chance to pack strawberry for her. I’m amazed that Darrius eats celery too. Does he eat the lettuce you place at the base of the bento box? I’ve never bothered coz I think Yiu Yiu may not eat them so it’ll be wasted.
Yeah, strawberries can really brighten up the bento. I used to pack those cherry tomatoes but of late Darrius is not so keen in them so I get him the strawberries instead but these are Cameron’s one so they get rotten faster! Well, Darrius also don’t really like to eat the lettuce and it depends on his mood really… he will bite it sometimes so I just leave it there for him and they are nice for background decor!
Oh yeah, Darrius never like celery until one day his daddy get him to eat and since then he has been biting on raw celery sticks! He loves it even more when I give him peanut butter jam as dip!
