Bento Fun #102 – It’s Pooh & Tiger!

Yesterday when I went to fetch Darrius at his kindy, I asked if he ate his bento and he said ‘NO’. I was angry and asked him why? He said ‘Got strawberries, I’m coughing so cannot eat strawberries’. Hmm…. poor fella! Aiyo, he really takes our words for it!! *sigh* Then I told him if he don’t eat his bento then I won’t pack for him any more and he he quickly defended… ‘I want bento!‘

So, should I continue to waste my time??? Inside me was thinking, ‘maybe he is not getting the kind of *treats* he used to find in his bento hence he is not interested’… so I went to rummage my many boxes of bento gadgets and see what is the quickest item that I can create out of them.

Remembering that Darrius used to love Pooh Bear so I took out the Pooh cookie cutters which came together with Tiger for today’s bento.

Using the balance few slices of my Gardenia Butterscotch bread I cut out both Pooh & Tiger shape and spread some peanut butter jam inside. For Pooh, I used the skin of the bread just so I can get some colors. I tried doing the details using nori but it was too time consuming so I took out my edible markers and just painted those details… bleah~*

I gave him some more strwberries as I told him he can eat the strawberries. Added some pretzels too as ‘treats’ since he loves them very much.

Hope he will eat his bento today!
