Bento Fun #116

Initially I was so lazy to wake up this morning coz Glennedine was fussing a lot last nite so thought I’ll just forget about bento today. However, my alarm woke Darrius up and so to keep him in the room till his wake up time, I told him to sleep again while I go down to prepare his milk and bento.

The two loafs of bread were gone since MIL has been eating them so I don’t have any more bread to fix bread bento. Luckily after checking my freezer, I found a packet of twist chocolate mantou which I picked up last week when I was at the market.

For cuteness, I added 2 chicken cocktail with little bear finishing. Added some orange slices, strawberry slices, half a corn on the cob and pamelo (hidden under the bears) to complete the bento.

Darrius came down and was extremely happy when he sees the bento. He told me he loves the bear-bear. :)

Ok, that’s all for today. I am going to put this bento for the B.O.M.B Challenge too and see if I’ll have the luck to win! :)

Happy bento-ing!

  1. Cutie bear-bear! You did the facial detail with puncher or free hand? I love bear-bear with this kind of facial detail, but my boy always ask me don’t put a sad face in his bento. He consider that a sad face, aiks… Btw, where did you get the twist chocolate mantou? Look so nice and yummy!

I used puncher lar… so tiny my hands will shake! hahaha
This puncher is from the Clara Craft which you can get in Kinokuniya or MPH.

Cute bears! You’ve got a perfect size of little chicken cocktail and decorated very well :)

Lia – Thanks! I found these very small (button sized) chicken cocktails from the deli… I try not to use too much processed food in my boy’s bento coz my hubby deemed it unhealthy. :P

Aww, those bears are so cute! Great bento! :D

The bears are cute. Mind me asking what you used for the ears and facial details? Btw is it safe to use craft punchers for food? I’ve seen some which have been oiled, so I dare not buy craft punchers.

    • Angeleyes says:

A-M-D – The ears are cut out from the chicken cocktails and the facial details are cheese and nori. The punchers I bought are safe… no traces of oil at all. You can get these punchers at Kinokuniya or some of the e-stores.
