Bento Fun #117
Should I be happy that today is Friday? I’m happy I managed to survive the past few days… with lots of stress threw in of course!
I am so glad that hubby will be home next Friday else I’ll go cookoo minding 2 kids alone!
Since I am still feeling exhausted from yesterday chores, I chose to do a simple bento today. Using my new flower cutter, I made a 3-layer flower stack of Raisin Oatmeal bread alternate with cheese.

I bought some apples for Darrius yesterday so I cut some bunnies for him. Also added in half a corn on the cob with a yellow cherry tomato. He might get a muffin from school today so I tried not to pack too much food for him.
When I was changing him this morning he asked what is inside his bento. I told him it is flowers and he lighted up and asked me ‘issit flower eat them?’. His ‘flower eat them’ was actually a computer game totled Ziggy if I’m not wrong which he played with my dad. Then he also mentioned about a scene in Ice Age 3 where there is this big flower that ate both the tiger and the mammoth. He loves that very much! He is so addicted to the show that he watches at least 2 times a day!
Have a great weekend and happy bento-ing!

Thanks java!
Oh dear, both our boys love Ice Age yeah! My boy can’t stop talking about Sid with his 3 little dino eggs! Love the way you pinned the cheese to the flower with that lovely pick.
KDW – yeah, Darrius laughed so loud each time Sid carried those eggs and they rolled down and wake his mei-mei up! Oh yeah, I love these heart picks but they are sooooooooooooo fragile! I am so worried that Darrius might bite on them and break them!
Pretty flower breads! I like those heart picks a lot … they are so useful to create so many things for bento. Kids nowdays are so great with computer not to mention for games. Have fun this weekend with your family
Lia – yeah, the picks added a nice finishing touch to the bento since I don’t have any red items to bring out the bento. Hope you have a great weekend too!
Such a pretty sandwich bento! Everything fits together perfectly!
Thanks Susan!
