Bento Fun #118
It’s Monday again! Today is the first day of a week long school holiday so I won’t be packing any bento but if I could find the time, I will do a few of snack bentos for Darrius… just to motivate him to finish up his stacks of homework!! He has 8 pages of Chinese writing to complete!
Last Saturday, we had pasta for lunch and I decided to pack them into bento boxes for Darrius… well, just for fun!

In the top box, it is filled with fruits and vegetables (apples, orange, brocolli, corn and carrot) and the bottom box is filled with machine pasta (all the vehicles) with tomato pasta sauce cooked with some mince pork and mixed vegetables. Darrius loves this series of pasta as it contains his favorites of car, planes and trains.
The first thing he finished was the corn (so I know corn is his fav!) and he left the brocolli untouched (*sigh* he stopped eating them unless I cut into small pieces and mixed them into his rice).
That’s all for today… happy bento-ing!

Thanks Lia! My boy is very lazy when it comes to doing his home work. I have to sit with him together with Mr. Rotan every time! I can’t imagine when he starts actual school where the amount of homework will add 10 folds!
Nice and colorful bento
I’ve looking those cute shaped pasta. Can you tell me how much the price for a bag? Is the shapes assorted?
Thanks.
Thanks MMB~
I bought these pasta in S’pore and it is less than SGD2 each packet.
Yes, they came in assorted shapes which can be very fun for little boys!

Hey Angie!
I think you can do it… most of my recent snack bento for Darrius to bring to school required less than 1 hour to do. What you can do is start off with those simple ones and as you go along things will be easier and your speed will definitely improves! I got those transport pasta from Singapore.
