Bento Fun #125

I was supposed to get another loaf of bread last night but was so busy with the kids so did not managed to get out of the house until it was too late and the shop has closed. Luckily I still have another slice of the pandan raisin bread in the fridge and thought I’ll just use that for today bento.

Yesterday when I went to fetch Darrius from his kindy, I asked if he finish up his bento and he told me he did. Then he asked me ‘Mommy, you gave me a star ah? Is it because I am a good boy so you give me a star? Like teacher like that, gave me a star when I write nice-nice?’ I don’t really know how to answer that actually since it was not that I am thinking when I was doing the bento! So, as a matter of fact, I just agreed to all his questions… hahaha what an easy way out! :P

Then he told me he wanted ‘GOOD‘ on the star just like those stamps his teacher stamped on his exercise books when he wrote nicely for his bento. Well, it was not a very difficult request!

I don’t have anything that is dark for the background so I spread some grape jelly onto the slice of bread with 4 stars cut out from the bread as well. Wanted to make it like balloons but there was a space constraint so only used 2 of the balloons picks and two stars picks. On top of the stars are cheese and carrot for the alphabets.

Added some golden kiwi slices and a yellow cherry tomato and the box is full! He is going to have fried beehoon from kindy today so this bento should be able to fill him up. And I finally get to use the new Mickey Mouse bento box which I bought from 100Yen a few weeks ago…

That’s all for today… Happy bento-ing! :)

javapot – Thanks! Yeah, he has finally loves going to school for some reasons (now is having a new water bottle!) but when he is tired and can’t wake up, he will tell me he don’t like going to school! :P

GOOD bento plus your boy felt rewarded for being good at school and happily to eat up all the cute bentos that you made for him … hehehe :D

    • Angeleyes says:

Lia – Thanks Lia! He will only eat when I remind him in front of the school gate… however, now his teacher will remind him on my behalf as she is pretty interested in the bento I made!

How I wish my Zowill tell me what “she want then just saying “Make what you like and I will like it” and had me scratching and pulling my hair off every morning! Indeed a “GOOD” boy you have there. :)

Yeapie – maybe you can try probing Zo… I used to do that earlier when Darrius tend to forget I packed bento for him. I will always ask him ‘what is in your bento today?’ or ‘do you like your bento?’ then move to ‘what bento do you want?’ Sometimes he will asked for the impossible so I will just do what I can… :P

  4. Nice bento and you boy is so cute! :D
