Orange Snail – Tutorial
Good Sunday to everyone!
Before I finished off the Orange Swiss roll that I bought, I decided to do a tutorial out of it just in case if anyone is keen to make any snails for their bentos.
Actually, you don’t have to use Swiss Roll if you don’t like sweet stuff. Alternatively, you can also use sushi rolls/maki rolls or even make your own bread rolls for the project!
If I’m not wrong, there are a few how-to out there by some other bento-ists so you can check them out as well…
For the tools…
First, you slice the chicken cocktail this way…
Then you attach the chicken cocktail to the Swiss roll (about 1″ thick) or same width as your chicken cocktail with a spaghetti strip, one in the front and one in the back…
And there… using a small round cutter and cut out the 2 ‘eyes’ from the balance chicken cocktail that you sliced off earlier and attach them onto the head. Put nori details…
A side view of the snail…
Hope the tutorial is helpful in making your bento more delightful!
Wishing all of you a great week ahead and happy bento-ing!

I used mantou n didn’t put nori eyes n mouth haha. Too rushed. Also my cocktail was placed in a different way but lucky it worked out fine.
There are many ways to do it… and the one I did is just one of the ways!
I saw yours… which was very clever of you! I shall do the same so can use
less chicken cocktails! hehehhe

Tks for doing tutorials! It’s such an easy way for me to learn new tips n tricks!

You are most welcome Tona!
Yeap, the puncher I got it here but I know SG has it too.
Bought mine from MPH bookstore so maybe you can try
there. The brand is Carla Craft.

Is that so??? Maybe very sellable so out of stock very fast???
Tona-mama – I got it at popular in sg. Check them
out. They also have various animal faces but can be hard to come
by sometimes. Good luck.
Haven’t visited for two months so am now doing a marathon to read all the back dated posts. Thanks for the tutorials – really helpful as I know now exactly how you do it.
