How to – Dinner Roll Ladybug
There is no bento today as Darrius had fried noodles for his break provided by the kindy. I just packed some Cheerios and a small box of raisins which he has requested the night before. I try not to give him Cheerios too often as they can be really heaty. I gave him every day the previous few weeks and ultimately he fell sick last week. Gonna give him most 2 days in a week.
Since I still have one of the dinner roll left, I thought I’ll share with everyone how I did the ladybug which was in bento #209.
The basic items…
.
.
Use your biggest round cutter to make an indent/cut line for the head…
.
.
Then you sliced the wings part where you can spread jam or butter…
.
.
You cut out the nori to fit the head (you can run the nori through hot water so it will stick onto the bread) and the centre of the body…
.
.
Then you can punch out the ‘dots’ and stick on cheese so they can stick on the bread easily. Else you can spread some mayo before sticking the nori on. Beautify the head with eyes and mouth using cheese or egg sheets and spaghetti strips for the antennas…
.
.
Easy peasy eh?
Do try it out if you have some dinner rolls!
Happy bento-ing!!!
