With Love from Osaka
One of my biggest weaknesses is procrastination. I have so many things under my pillow now, that they are starting to spill out! Yes, I have tonnes of back-logs to clear and I am so deprive of time. I wasted too much time mulling around everyday beside picking up after the kids. Oh yeah, my two monkeys made tornadoes in the house everyday too!
This week is school holiday so there won’t be any bento and I’ll try to clear as much bag-logs as possible.
My hubby went to Japan last December for a short business trip. He spent 2 nights in Tokyo and one night in Osaka. It was his maiden trip to the land of the rising sun so he was extremely excited. Too bad I can’t tag along else I would have bought the entire Tokyo home! *giggle* And the fact that he stayed at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo (where the Emperor of Japan usually stays) right in the centre of the Ginza strip was enough to brew vinegar in my heart! I was so green with envy! *-*
Since he can’t bring me (due to tight schedule) he promised to buy some bento stuff for me as compensation. He told me things are many times more expensive in Tokyo compared to Osaka so he got these from Osaka…

He was amused by the banana case (he don’t shop in Daiso so he never come across the case before!!!) and he told Darrius that he bought a cute banana box for him when he called back. Luckily I never have one so… *phew* The very small Miffy box was for Baby G and the 2 bento books were for me. He told me that the Kinokuniya book store there was HUGE and he has to go up a few floors to get to the bento books section! I told him to get me the Kaerenmama’s book but sadly it was all sold out.
Though the two books (which were more expensive too) were not as good as Kaerenmama’s or Akinoichigo’s but I was nonetheless happy since my dear hubby lugged them back all the way.
Just read about the latest development in Japan and there have been a few more after shocks/tremors from last Saturday’s quake as well as news about the radioactive leak from the nuclear plant. I just hope and pray that nothing serious will come as the people of Japan needs to move on and continue their daily life.
If you would like to help those who are affected, you can make donation through the IFRC (International Federation of Red Cross) or you can also bid for some bento goodies through Bento4Japan which was set up by some of our bento friends to raise fund for relief efforts.
