Bento Fun #277 – Petite Garden Turkey Sammies
Good’ay everyone!
How was your Easter celebration over the weekend? I hope all of you had plenty of fun… well, for those who went for the wild eggs chase… you should had great fun! We are not Christians so we rarely participate… However, I hope someday I can organize an egg hunt for my kids and their friends.
We don’t get any off day today so we are back to the regular schedule again. Darrius got lazy as he has Friday off for Good Friday. This morning he refused to wake up and kicked up a big fuss when I threaten to leave him in the room.
The following conversation took place before we went down…
.
Darrius : I don’t want to study so many hours!
Me : You are studying for 4 hours only
Darrius : I don’t want to read so many pages!
Me : Then why you play so many levels of Angry Birds??
Darrius : I……
.
Anyway, I don’t normally bow down to him… I know he will always have all those mischievous ideas cooking in his head when he turns lazy.
Bento for today is pretty simple…
.
.
I bought a loaf of wholemeal and a loaf of white bread yesterday. Why buy so many loaves of bread? Well, hubby bought some turkey ham when we were out shopping over the weekend and the only bread he will eat is wholemeal or those with lots of grains. An idea cropped up to make the petite sammies but was a tad disappointed that the wholemeal and the white bread did not have a good color contrast.
Anyhow, I just went ahead with it. It was a double deck of cheese and turkey ham sammies. Decorated the top with half a strawberry, half a cherry tomato, cheese bee and flower. Added more strawberries and some green seedless grapes for extra Vitamin C.
Darrius warned me that he only wanted seedless grapes coz he don’t want grape plant growing on top of his head!
Yeah, I scared him previously that if he swallow the seeds, they will grown on his head! He also added that he don’t want any ‘cacing’ (earth worms) crawling on the plant on his head! *slap forehead*
That’s all for today. Hope you’ll have fun bento-ing!

Hi Alice! Today’s bento looks so cheerful and playful. I know that sometimes kids are so smart to make excuses but still they can’t beat the parents
