Why I pack bento? Actually I seldom pack them now, but I still enjoy looking through your beautiful bento pictures. Hope someday I will get back into doing it and let my son take a beautiful meal for his lunch to school.

I started Bento not too long ago because my son doesn’t like to eat most things. He still doesn’t like to eat the Bento I prepared but I need to be persistent in my pursuit to feed my son. I guess Bento is my technique to change his mind on food.

5)I started bento-ing when I saw my cousin’s post of her bentos she did for her kids and thought IT’S SO CUTE & NICE! As I’ve got the interest in cooking, trying out & experimenting with new/different recipes, I feel bento-ing must be fun and I was right! Moreover, I always love cute stuffs, anything & everything that’s cute! The most impt point is I can pack healthy, love-felt meals for my girls and even my Mom!

Hi Alice I’ve done 1-4 steps, now I started to like bento, because I want to make something different in my sons’ lunch box. A healthy lunch box. As I google , I stumble into many bentp blogs include yours, and inspire me to make more creative bento for my sons. It really nice as their friends also enjoy too. Some also ask their mom to make one.

I’ve done 1-4 steps
The last step, why I started packing bento? Actually I’m new in bentoing and still learning and enjoy looking other bento lovers picture and wish one day I could create beautiful bentos like them too. And wish one day my son has a beautiful lunch box for his lunch to school wich made my his mom…now he almost 2y old, not school yet ^^

I cannot do steps 1-4 since I do not have/do facebook. I started bentoing because I was an exchange student in Japan when I was in high school and we always made lunches. My young children love it when I make them a special lunch, so it makes the day better for everyone!

5) Why I started Bento-ing?
-Well, initially it was my love for the beautiful creations the Japanese did! I totally fell in love with them! So when I had my boy, Kimi, I definitely wanted to experiment.
Then he got really picky with food so it became the ‘best opportunity’ for me to play with his food. Now, he wants me to pack for him everyday!
