Bento Fun

We are here for 2 weeks already and the festive season made us miss our home more than ever. Probably it is Chinese New Year where we normally have so many family and friends around us that made us feel the emptiness this time since we are in a new place with limited friends and no family…

Hubby has been in contact with his family via Skype almost every other day especially my SIL who is residing in Germany. As for me, my parents are back in our hometown for the festive season so we can’t Skype with them till they return home to KL.

We’ll be getting our shipment next week so we’ll going to have all our stuff in! Can’t wait as we are living with minimum stuff at the moment… Also, I am so gonna get Dr Dre Headphones when our 46″ TV arrives!

We are almost at the end of summer here so cold weather will come pretty soon though temperature can hit as high as 45 degree celsius on certain days! Last night was so darn hot that I have to fan the kids to sleep!!!! The other night I have to wear shorts to sleep since arriving here 2 weeks ago.

However, most of us do not have enough warm clothing when the real cold weather come especially hubby. We are waiting for the shopping malls here for their sales to start so we can stock up some. Hubby wanted to get some coveralls for men as he never got a chance to wear them when in Malaysia. Hopefully the sales will start soon!

Greetings from Melbourne!

We arrived last Thursday and has been hectic since. There were so much stuff to do and follow up. I am glad that we got most of the important stuff done and now is just to wait for the items to be delivered. Have never done so much shopping in such short time span!!!

Finally I got my SIM card yesterday and am able to contact some of my friends here. Hubby gave me his Blackberry but I decided to keep my phone instead. I am not into all these smart cellulaires. I am those who just make and receive calls and do the occasional short messaging.

Well, I’ll probably learn how to use all these smart phones thingy when I am more settled down and have plenty of time to kill later on before the baby arrives.

So fast we are already on the 2nd day of 2012 and what have we done? NOTHING!

Hubby was down with fever yesterday so we stayed home. Have wanted to go out this morning but our washing machine was giving some problems so hubby went to fix it. As it is already so late, malls will be crowded so we KIV-ed our plans to go out. I’ll probably use the rest of the day to do some more packing.

We have a total of 130kg for our flight so we’ll definitely going to maximize it. Though we have shipped most of our stuff but we have been buying some smaller stuff the past few weeks. Hopefully there will be enough space as well… We have a total of 4 big luggage and probably a few leather backpacks which we’ll hand carry. Will try to stuff in a much stuff as possible… especially all the last minutes stuff.

Can’t wait for the day to come…

1st of January is a very special day for us (my hubby and I) as it marks the day we celebrate our love (how romantic huh?). The first day of 2012 is even more special as it will be our 10th Anniversary. I can still recall that very night when we went for New Year countdown by the Singapore River hoping to see some fireworks but was deeply disappointed as that very year they decided to cancel the event!

Well, the firework did not blast into the sky but it did in our hearts!!!! That is all that matters right??? LOL

My hubby is not those who are romantic and shows it but he will do little things to make up for it. I won’t be expecting him to get me any heart shaped jewelry to mark the occasion as I knew he will not! Probably we will just go out for family dinner (since we have 2 monsters sticking to us like super glue!!!) and hopefully catch some fireworks display around the island…
